Since I was hooked earlier on Abba, thought I might share top 5 trends from the 70’s that might work nowadays and which designers actually are using those ideas.
1-Stripes
stripes in the 70’s were a big hit and like every era there was the well received trends and the not very popular ones, but the stripes were a big hit and personally whenever I think of the 70’s Stripes and Florals comes to my mid which leads us to.
2- Florals
floral in the 70’s and flower power had a strong impact on some people views but nowadays it can be implanted in modern fashion in a minimal way to add a special touch of colour or style if you were trying to wear a monotone formal clothing or add a bit more to wear it a casual way…
3- Prints
you can’t deny the prints as if they just discovered the colours but if you chose your prints right and matched them well with the rest of your outfit you can come up with a very fashion forward looking outfit.
4-Earth and Fire
browns, yellows, orange and reds were the hit colours and you can’t overlook those colours remembering that era although they can be worn today but matching them all up together is probably not a good idea , I find the best way to do so is to go with let’s say a brown suite with a colourful accessory while the shirt is a monotone.
